Brainstorming is the first step in the writing process. Brainstorming, defined as “dropping ideas,” is the best way to fill your creative juices. Brainstorming can take many forms, including random correspondence, cycles, clustering, teamwork, and simply asking questions. Freeriding is the least difficult of the five. It consists of writing sequentially over a period of time. This technique allows you to write everything that comes to mind without worrying about grammar, spelling, or punctuation.

Often, the best ideas are presented in the freewriting technique. Loops are a direct form of free writing. Instead of spending a long period of freewriting, everyone spends a reduced amount of freewriting followed by a looping technique. Then someone reads what has been written and finds the central or most intriguing idea in the newspaper. Then it is expanded by summing up the sentence from the first cycle, and then the second sentence extends the first. The third cycle is from the central idea of the second cycle; and the process continues. Clustering is a visual way to generate ideas. One draws a central circle and writes a central idea in the middle. This is the central idea of the paper. To expand on it, one draws other rings extending from the central ring.
Creating a successful essay is a different process for everyone. Some authors require complete silence without distractions, while others crave noise during work. Although not a single guide will help you determine which situations are best for writing, there are steps in the writing process to help get a clearer and better final version. The main stages: detection/investigation, preliminary recording, revising, editing.
